Appointments
Consultations are by appointment, with urgent cases seen as needed. If you need extra time with your doctor, simply let our receptionist know when booking.

Emergencies
Emergencies are always our priority and will be seen promptly. Please notify the receptionist on arrival — and ring ahead if possible so we can prepare.
House Calls
Home and nursing home visits are available from some of our doctors for regular patients. Please call the clinic before midday to arrange a visit.
After-Hours
For after-hours care, contact DoctorDoctor on 132660. MyEmergencyDr.com also connects patients in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs to Emergency Medicine Specialists via telehealth.
Phone & Certificate Policies
Messages are taken during consulting hours when your doctor is with a patient. Prescriptions and certificates are legal documents and require an in-person consultation before issue.
Billing Policies
Balwyn Health Care is a private billing clinic. Each doctor bills independently, and Medicare will refund a portion of fees. Please pay at the time of your consultation.
Privacy Policy
Your personal health information is kept secure and accessible only to authorised staff. Our full privacy policy can be viewed and downloaded under the Documents tab.
Follow-Up of Results
In most cases, an appointment is required to discuss results. If you call for a result, a nurse will follow up within 48 hours if your doctor has reviewed it.
